Mostly, OPS is an XML "bus" and whatever code you run
must
emit XML, even if as a side effect. There is an
ExecProcessor
that allows you to execute a whole process. There is
also a delegation processor that allows you to execute a
method of a JavaBean. And finally (?) there is the
JavaProcessor
that lets you execute a method from any POJO. Oh, you can
also write your own pipeline.
So, although the XML Pipeline Language that oversees execution
must receive results/responses in XML, you can execute
almost
any code.
Is that close to your question?
