I am using the the trial version in development and company will upgrade to license version once in production.
The charts are rendered via javascript and javascript API is used with xxforms:script. To load the data initially javascript is called on xforms-model-construct-done. XML Data url is set to path for XPL files (basically a REST service) which calls SQL processor and XSLT processor to format chart data sent on data output as XML. Real-time updates use similar XPL design with the addition of text-converter processor to send back the required string format, i.e. &value=23 or &value=23|45 if multiple data points. Stopping and starting real-time data again is just accomplished through xforms:trigger calling javascript API
functions.
If you require commercial products of FusionCharts, Widgets etc I am an authorized reseller so please contact me and I will work best price.

Perhaps you can expand further for benefit of others.
Does your deployment differ from this advice?
http://wiki.orbeon.com/forms/doc/developer-guide/xbl-components/fusioncharts
and do you avoid using flash embed (javascript deployment seems to be
available only in the commercial version).
