FusionCharts

Marco Lebel-2
In regards to the following:

 FusionCharts

With this component you can easily add to your form a chart rendered by FusionCharts.

 Setup

Note that since FusionCharts  is a commercial product, it is not bundled with Orbeon Forms. So first download a copy of FusionCharts.

Can someone tell me if the FusionChartsFree www.fusioncharts.com/free/ can be use?

Or is the commercial version a requirement?

Marco

Marco,

This is awesome; I didn't know that FusionChart had a free and open
source version. Since it is available under the MIT license, it could
even be distributed with Orbeon Forms. However, I don't know if the
current Fusion Chart XBL component would work with the free version;
it depends on whether their JavaScript API is similar enough. Let us
know if it work, if you get a chance to give it a try.

Alex,

This is what I found at http://www.fusioncharts.com/free/Comparison.asp

                                   FREE                                                                                                                                        Com.

JavaScript / AJAX Enabled
Partial
FusionCharts FREE charts can update themselves only from XML string loaded using external (3rd party) AJAX frameworks. Hence, partial.
Full

Not sure what it means in the context of XBL component...

Can you advise.

Marco,

I did some testing with FusionCharts Free, and the component is working well with that version. I updated the documentation for this (link below). Thank you for letting up know about that free version.
