Form Builder unable to save and how to name controls

ilango_g
Hi
The problem of saving my form has recurred. In the metadata section, I still find myself being told that "must be non-empty" even though I have a value in there.

I have another problem: I need to specify the name of my control when I am building the form. The Form Builder is putting in "control1" "control2" etc.
For example, I am able to type in "PersonGivenName" on the builder, and I should expect the source code in the background to write "PersonGivenName" as the control name?

Thanks for any suggestions

Re: Form Builder unable to save and how to name controls

I am able to save this time, after restarting Tomcat. But I am still left wondering: Is there any way to give form elements the name I want and not "control1" "control2", etc. That way I do not need to go into the source code and change each element name to its appropriately desired name.

Is there such a feature, right now?

Yes, click on the little cogwheel next to each control. There you can
set an id for the control.
