Firewall problem with eXist

Firewall problem with eXist

I moved my app to a server (rather than keeping it on my laptop). Now it works fine if I'm inside my firewall, but eXist won't work from outside. Is it just a matter of opening the right port?

Colin,

Probably, yes. If you are using the embedded eXist, it will listen on
the same port as Tomcat. If you use a separately deployed eXist, then
open that port.

Dumb question I know, but how do I find out what port it is? Does the fact that it is a default install help?

One way to do this is to also deploy your own version of eXist on
Tomcat. So it would be on the same port as Orbeon Forms, but under a
different context (e.g. /exist and /orbeon).
