Exception in client-side code error with the current nightly build.

Alex Bleasdale
Hi,

I've been hoping to migrate from 3.6 to the nightly of 3.7 for daily use of Orbeon but I'm getting a curious error and I'm wondering whether anyone else has seen it or knows about it:

At the top of my form, I have a couple of submission buttons that load different instance data into the main instance of the form, so I can test different submission scenarios.  These have been working fine using Orbeon 3.6 for quite some time now.

The submission statements basically look like this:

         <xf:submission id="get-default-data" serialize="false" method="get" action="http://hostname/path/to/instance.xml" replace="instance" instance="my-main-instance">
         </xf:submission>

Firing that event does indeed update my main instance as expected, but if I try and make a submission to eXist (which also works fine in 3.6) after doing this to save the document, or if I attempt to 'view' another instance in the model from the instance inspector widget, I'll get a modal window with the following message:

Exception in client-side code.

    * Message: C is null
    * File: http://localhost:8080/orbeon/xforms-server/xforms-min.js
    * Line number: 74

Curiously, in order to make the 'submission' to eXist work, I've found that if I switch instances in the instance inspector to trigger the error message, I can then get rid of it and hit the submission and my app works as intended....

Has anyone else seen this message?  And is this a known issue?  If so, is there a current workaround other than to stick with Orbeon 3.6?  I know it's still a nightly, but I was keen to see if I could bring Orbeon 3.7 in as early as possible :)

Thanks so much in advance for any information / advice here.

Best,
A

I'm running the current Orbeon nightly (the WAR downloaded today at 12pm on Jetty6.1)

Alex,

We made some changes to xforms:input on Friday, and things may be a
little flaky still. I would suggest waiting 1-2 days and see if things
behave better. If not, please let us know.
