Example of Separate Deployment case

jontto
Hi,

I've been trying to setup orbeon and my application in separate WAR's, but seem stumble on small glitches (mostly in my logic) all the time. I'm wondering if there is a complete and simple example of a separate WAR setup, with some own Java processor, page flow managed somehow etc. I think it would be very nice and much easier to get some application up and running.

Generally speaking, are people using the 3.7b/nightlies as separate or integrated deployments? I know the recommended way is separate, but is this also the mostly used way?

Have you checked out these instructions:

I prefer to use Orbeon Forms in separate deployment mode for a couple of
reasons: (1) easier to upgrade Orbeon Forms and your own web applications
because they are not integrated, (2) you can have only one instance of
Orbeon Forms running on your web server which will serve as an XForms
engine for all of your own web applications, and (3) easier to switch
between different XForms engines if needed.

Unfortunately, the separate deployment mode has not been working for a
long time due to this bug :(
