Everything hangs with the workflow-send functionality in tomcat

I have employed the workflow-send button, and entered a valid uri for the oxf.fr.detail.send.uri.*.* property.

This stuff was working well on jetty, on tomcat however (6.0.28), what happens when you press the send workflow button is that the animated loading progress indicator image is shown, and some milliseconds later, the “loading” text is show at the top in red. After that, the whole this hangs, and there are no indications in any logs as to what is happening.

This was performed using the 3.8 stable build. (the page pointed to by the URI property is never hit – I’ve also tried different strategies here; full URL with protocol and the lot, and just a relative path from the context root – doesn’t seem to matter in my case)).

Does anyone have the same problem or any clues as to how I can go about solving this?

A further comment on this; further investigation revealed that this did indeed not work on jetty either. It is probably a bug on all servers.
