Dynamic Dropdown not mapping into PDF template

Hello!
I'm having a problem trying to get the value of some dynamic dropdowns, that
are working perfectly with their webservices, into my PDF template. Y am
mapping the field ID as explained in your manual: sectionId$fieldId, but it
doesn't work with these dropdowns. The other fields (textfields, checkboxes,
radiobuttons...) are mapped perfectly in the template. The PDF fields for
these dropdowns are textfields, not combos, because I only want the selected
text. I tried to get the selected text (not value) of the combos in
calculated values and map those ones instead the combos bur they are not
mapped too.
What am I doing wrong?

I send you the template and the xml of the Orbeon form. The fields that are
not mapped are all the dynamic combos (ie. secDatosComunes$provinciaTitular
for the dropdown or secDatosComunes$provinciaTitularVal for the calculated
value) The WS could not work for you, but they are working in my local.

One comment more, using automatic PDF production those dynamic dropdowns are
well mapped, but not with that template.

Hi Martin,

You're saying that the values for dynamic dropdowns are shown when producing
an automatic PDF production, but not a template-based PDF. What version of
Orbeon Forms are you using? If not Orbeon Forms PE 2017.1, have you also
tried this with that version?

   I tried with version 2017.1 with same result, the dynamic dropdowns are
not mapped in the pdf template but yes in the automatic pdf.

FYI: I'm using orbeon with oracle 11g. Maybe the problem consist on I'm tying
to map a dropdown (orbeon) in a textfield (pdf), but it should be possible,
I think.

It's unlikely to be due to you using Oracle. We'll look into it, and

Hi,
   we were trying to fix this issue with workarounds and so on, but
unsuccessfully. In few words, the Dynamic dropdown is not mapping its
selected value to a textfield in a PDF template, but yes in an automatic
PDF. It seems to be a bug in orbeon, we just have tried again and again and
tested the orbeon form and the PDF template, but they seems to be well
formed. (you hace them in the first mail). How can we take a workaround for
this? We are thinking into get the professional version, but with this kind
of difficult we can't decide it yet.

The PDF template issue is probably a bug and we'll try to reproduce and fix
it.
