Displaying the '<' symbol in label

Joseph Lawrence
Hi all,
How can I display a '<' symbol as label in a submit button.

I tried:
<xforms:label>&lt;</xforms:label> and got the error "Cannot parse value as text/html for value: '<'".
When I tried <xforms:label><pre>&lt;</pre></xforms:label>, I get the button with label '<</pre>'. The same was the output for <xforms:label><pre>&#x003c;</pre></xforms:label>
Also, I tried reading the value from an instance and got no different result.

Thanks
Joseph Lawrence

try: <xforms:label>&amp;lt;</xforms:label>
This should work.

Hi Joseph,

I was facing the same problem.
I just add space before and after the '<'.
Ex : <xf:label> &lt; </xf:label>
