Dead zone with <fr:button> in IE

Mr. Mike
Hi,

We're using <fr:button> to render buttons in Orbeon 3.9.
The buttons seem to work fine on current versions of Firefox and Chrome.
The problem is with IE (go figure, several versions, at least IE 8 & IE 9).  There is a "dead zone", an area outside the minimum boundary of the TEXT of the button, and the inner area of the button (like the padding-zone of the button), where a click does NOT activate the button, or hovering the cursor does NOT render the button's pointer.
Instead, when using IE, the cursor/click seems to land on <span class="first-child">, and does not bubble up. While I can use simple CSS to change the cursor, I haven't been able to figure out how to set the borders/margins so it renders consistently within IE.

Has anyone seen this/is there a known fix?

Thanks!

Hi Mike,

This doesn't ring a bell. We don't have the bandwidth to investigate 3.9 issues coming from the community, at that version was released two years ago, but if you have a PE subscription, I'd encourage you to submit this to us through support.
