Date picker fields always required?

mschlossberg
In 3.7 a field declared as type="xs:date" in an MIP <bind> element gets both an
input field and the date picker (thank you!).  But the field cannot be left
blank. Is there any way to make date fields optional and still have the date
picker?  (Forsaking the picker, we could declare a constraint where the field
must be either null or castable as xs:date.)

Instead of xs:date, try using xforms:date. Also see: http://www.w3.org/TR/xforms11/#empty-content-types
.
