Database is read-only

Hi all,

I have a struts2 web-application using which i am loading eforms in a
cross-context way. It was running successfully. But now I am getting the
following error:
Database is read-only
org.exist.security.PermissionDeniedException

Can anyone please suggest the reason for this.

I have never seen this error, but I am curious to see what can cause
this :). The database files are not read-only in the file system by any
chance? You might want to ask the question on the exist-open mailing
list, just to figure out what are the conditions under which eXist can
issue this message.
