Sorry we might not have much insight into this. First thing you could
try to see if where time is spent: is this on the client, is it on the
server. If on the client, is it in the FCK JavaScript code, or in our
JavaScript code, or in the browser itself. To do so you might have to
use some client-side JavaScript profiling tools.
As mentioned already, we now use YUI RTE instead of FCK because it
seemed better supported and was better integrated with YUI which we
use anyway.
