Custom UUIDs in form runner?

gino-m
Hi again!

I was wondering if it is possible to control the UUID of the resource/form saved with Form Runner.

This would imply being able to change the ID, causing the containing collection to be renamed as well.

Essentially, my documents all have a user-specified natural id/code and I would like the eXist DB and form URL to reflect this code.

I this possible w/the current implementation?

Thanks a million,
Gino

Yes you can and I have done this successfully on a project with sugarCRM passing in the UUID and changing the form runner generated document GUID to this value so it is stored in eXist with this ID so that we can reference it later from within sugarCRM.

RE: Custom UUIDs in form runner?

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your response.  When creating an instance, I can passed my own ID without any problems.  However I cannot figure out how I may rename the resource when saving should the ID change.

Maybe I need to implement a custom submission when saving?
