Couple of Date Picker Problems

Ryan Puddephatt
All,
When using the Date Picker changing just the month or year, using the back and forward buttons at the top, and clicking off the change is not stored in the instance, or shown. When clicking back on to the Date Picker, the changed value is shown.

Also I've noticed that the Date Picker doesn't work in the xxforms:dialog, its hidden behind the dialog.

When you navigate between to next/previous months/years, the instance
is not changed. It used to be changed, but was changed a some point.
So now all I can say is that this is the "intended behavior".

However, when you reopen the date picker, I agree: it would be better
to show the date in the instance, rather than just where you were
before. With this changed, would the date picker work more or less
intuitively from your perspective?

If you have a case that we can run in the sandbox I will add a bug.
Ultimately I think the right thing to do is switch to the YUI date
picker, which is likely to be compatible with their dialog.

Alex,
Sorry for such a late reply, I think your right that the date should
be selected to confirm it, but clicking off should return the date to its
previous selection, but the picker certainly needs to show the date in the
instance.

I think the dialog problem has been fixed with CSS, but I guess moving over
to the YUI Control would avoid any other compatibility issues

I added a bug for this:

A change to the CSS that you did? In your CSS, or in some CSS shipped
with Orbeon Forms?

Yes, indeed.
