By default, your form definition as well as the data you collect with
that form as saved in the eXist database, which comes with Orbeon Forms. (You can switch to another database such as Oracle or MySQL by configuring the persistence layer.) The URL where your form will be visible depends on the name you chose for your app name and form name when creating the form (which you can also change later). If you chose my-app / my-form, then assuming Orbeon Forms is deployed on http://localhost:8080/orbeon/, you can fill out new data by going to: http://localhost:8080/orbeon/fr/my-app/my-form/new I hope this helps, Alex On Fri, Mar 19, 2010 at 4:30 AM, vivekshah <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Hi All, > I started working on Orbeon few days ago and managed to do all the > configurations required to deploy the orbeon war in Tomcat. we are having a similar issue for our proof of concept portal. having created a form in the builder, we are scratching our heads as to how to deploy it into the portal (liferay 5.2.3). can't find anyone in the community who has done this successfully and can share the experience.
we understand that portals are complicated and require a support agreement from orbeon and we would be more than willing to enter into one - but if we can't get it to work and demonstrate the magic to our client, then there's no way we can proceed with the project. surely there are some elementary steps to deploy a form created in form builder into a portlet (liferay or otherwise)? if it's really not a straightforward process, please let us know so we can spend our effort on an alternative solution. thanks CC |

The mailing list has a poor track record when it comes to helping with
problems on specific application servers or portals ;). So if Development Support is not an option for you, I can only recommend to deploy Orbeon Forms as a servlet rather than a portlet.
