Calendar css conflict

Colin O'Brien
Hi,

I did a quick search of the archive but couldn't see any mention of
such a problem...

I have added a date field to an xform. The form displays OK, but when I
click on the calendar widget, it goes *under* the text field below and
you cannot select a date.

If I take out the site's own css file, the widget behaves as expected.
I have looked, but I cannot see anything that might be causing such a
conflict. The site doesn't have any custom javascript.

Anyone seen this before? Anyone any ideas what might be causing it?

Thanks in advance
Colin

Re: Calendar css conflict

Colin O'Brien
Hi,

I have tested each CSS element and attribute in the hierarchy down to
the date field.
The field is inside a 'p' which is inside a 'div which is inside a
'div' which has (for historic reasons) a 'z-index' (value of 20).
If I eliminate this z-index, the calendar widget behaves as expected.

In this case, I no longer need that z-index, and so can continue as-is.

Anyone any idea where/what it is conflicting with this and what (if
any) (should the need ever arise again) is an acceptable range of
values to use?

Thanks & regards
Colin

I am sorry Colin, but this doesn't ring a bell. I don't think I have
hit this problem before.
