Builder Menu - Predefined HTTP Services

bwallis42
Is there a way I can have a set of services  predefined in the builder menu? Can these be added to a section template or something like that? I need them for all forms created within a particular application.

thanks

Hi Brian,

Your section templates can use services and actions, but when you use a section template in a form, the corresponding services and actions are isolated from the rest of the form, and thus can't be used by the anything outside of the section template. So, currently, this isn't supported. However (you guessed it!), we have an RFE for that, and added +1 from you:

4 months later... I have a followup question

Are the Datasets also isolated from the rest of the form or can I use them
in controls in other sections?

I would try but I haven't managed to get a section template with a service
and action to work in a form yet (I'll post another question about that).

Hi Brian,

You can access a dataset defined in a form anywhere in that form, but not in
the code implementing a section template used in that form. So the same rule
applies here.
