Bug with xxforms:format="format-number()"

Hi All,

I'm trying to use  the format-number() function in xforms:output as in
<xforms:output ref="foo" xxforms:format="format-number(.,'$#,##0.00')"/>
It appears that the function does not take effect on initial load of the
form; it only gets applied when the form is refreshed by some XForms event.
For example, when the form loads up, the output field shows 0, then if I
edit another field which causes the fields to be refreshed, then it
shows $0.00.
Anybody else seeing this problem?
