Hi,
I came around a bug in XHTML textarea control. If XHTML textarea control is made invisible, making it visible will leave it in some kind of locked state. You won't be able to enter or format any text, and the only way I know to get any text in it, is by pasting it in. I attached modified sandbox sample, that demonstrates this problem. Clicking on "Edit" button will display an inactive XHTML trextarea. I haven't been able to reproduce this. Both on Firefox and IE, after I click the edit button I can edit the text in the editor. Maybe this is an issue that have been resolved since the version of Orbeon Forms you are using? Can you see if you also have this problem with a recent nightly build (linked below)? http://tinyurl.com/2ck6t2 (temporary link; will expire) Alex -- Orbeon Forms - Web 2.0 Forms, open-source, for the Enterprise Orbeon's Blog: http://www.orbeon.com/blog/ Personal Blog: http://avernet.blogspot.com/ -- You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] mailing list. Hi Alex,
Nope, unfortunately nightly build didn't help. It is strange however, that you can't reproduce this. I tried it from several different machines, from different networks and even different OS, and it always behaves exactly the same. I forgot to mention that I'm using Firefox 2.0 only, and don't know how IE behaves. I can even upload this example to your xforms sandbox - http://www.orbeon.com/ops/xforms-sandbox/ and this issue can be reproduced there. Apparently we already had a bug for this (see link below). This type of bugs are not easy to fix because of the nature of the FCK editor and we are planning to replace the FCK editor with the YUI RTE component. Unfortunately, in the short term, this means that we won't spend much energy going forward fixing FCK related issues. http://forge.objectweb.org/tracker/?group_id=168&atid=350207&func=detail&aid=307371 Alex -- Orbeon Forms - Web 2.0 Forms, open-source, for the Enterprise Orbeon's Blog: http://www.orbeon.com/blog/ Personal Blog: http://avernet.blogspot.com/ -- You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] mailing list.
