Binding exception for target: #document

Tom Grahame
I frequently get this error:

Binding exception for target: #document

and find it very difficult to debug. According to the standard Orbeon error display it occurs in oxf:/ops/pfc/xforms-epilogue.xpl at line 135 and I've looke there to discover it occurs within the oxf:xforms-to-xhtml processor.

Does anyone have any tips as to how I might determine what the xforms-binding-exception is precisely or how I might debug this?

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

If not done already, enable XForms logging (for development only):

Re: Binding exception for target: #document

Tom Grahame
Thanks Erik,

I have been well acquainted with Orbeon logging for some time ;)

It normally informs me very well, this is the one piece of information it gives me that I consistently have trouble interpreting.

In fact what I chose to do was comment out most of the view for the page I was building a new model for so that the XForms/XHTML creation would at least complete. I then progressively uncommented parts of the view and reloaded so that I could isolate the problem area. Crude yes, effective - enough.

Thanks,

Tom
