Attachments size

Taras Bahnyuk

In my application I need to store some binary attachments along with the xml documents.
Is there a way to determine the size of the binary file before attempting to upload it to the db?
When the attachment is too large the submission is failing, but then it's too late to give a warning to the user.
How can I deal with this?

Thanks,
Taras

Taras,

A few questions:

o Where do these attachements come from? XForms upload?
o How do you store them in the database?
o What type of database are you using?
