Hi,
Is it possible to create our own custom control and bind it to datatype to let the user uses it after as is, I found that post: http://discuss.orbeon.com/custom-controls-td4475506.html in which you said that you support it but the url are not responsive. Could you help on that point please? -- Sent from: http://discuss.orbeon.com/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Orbeon Forms" group. Hi,
It depends :). How would you component be used, what type would it bind to, and what is the use case? ‑Alex ----- -- Follow Orbeon on Twitter: @orbeon Follow me on Twitter: @avernet -- Sent from: http://discuss.orbeon.com/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Orbeon Forms" group. Hi Alex,
The use case is to be able to create some custom control in the goal to present them in the menu for the creator of forms, those controls have already been configured with some rest services behind that will populate them with the corresponding data when the end user will fill those forms. The kind of control will be text field, date field, drop down, some graph, may be specific control to draw on image like the one you already used wpaint but may be other one more sophisticated. Hi,
Thank you for the additional details. From your description, it doesn't sound like you would need your component to bind to a particular datatype: it could just be your `<acme:dropdown>`, with "Acme Dropdown" in the sidebar, and this repeated from every component you need. Or am I missing something? ‑Alex ----- -- Follow Orbeon on Twitter: @orbeon Follow me on Twitter: @avernet -- Sent from: http://discuss.orbeon.com/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Orbeon Forms" group. Did you manage to do what you were looking for with those XBL components? And
of course, just let me know if I misunderstood your use case in my previous answer. ‑Alex ----- -- Follow Orbeon on Twitter: @orbeon Follow me on Twitter: @avernet -- Sent from: http://discuss.orbeon.com/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Orbeon Forms" group.
