jQuery and YUI in 2016.2CE

Heinrich Götzger

Hoi,

as I learned in 'Progressively get rid of YUI #1599' you try to get rid of yui-library at all. Is that the reason why it's not updated and still contained as 2.8.1 in release 2016.2CE?

careful asked: What is your forecast on solving this?

Are you keeping jQuery up2date in upcoming releases?

Thanks, Cheers

Heinrich

Hi Heinrich,

We're moving away from YUI and upgrading jQuery on a "as-needed" basis. At this point, we're not actively working on getting rid of all YUI code, "just for the sake of it", but are doing it piece by piece, when it looks like the benefits of such a move are higher than the risks.

Did you have a particular situation in mind where YUI is a problem? Or that would call for a more recent version of jQuery?
