app folder is not created for my new application

Thirumal
Hi,

I have created new application with form-builder but I am not able to see the application folder in the directory ../resource/apps/

I am using PE- trial version is that cause a problem?  or am I missing anything.

I have checked all the files and folder inside webapps/orbeon but I am not able to find any folder or file with my application name

In advance : Thanks for the help

Thanks for the reply Bruno. I am totally new to Orbeon and Xforms.

I am trying to create menu in orbeon.

Right now we are evaluating the Orbeon & IBM forms for our requirement (including menu options). Any help would be appreciateable.

Hi Thirumal,

As mentioned by Bruno, when you create a form with Form Builder, nothing gets generated in the apps directory. The form definition is stored in "your" database, just like data that will be captured by the form at runtime. By default, Orbeon Forms ships with eXist-db, which makes it faster to get started. In production however, we recommend that you either setup Orbeon Forms to store data in an external database, whether it is an external eXist-db, or a relational database. Does this make sense?
