Using the Form Builder without the Form Runner?

ricetrac
Hi,

Currently we write our forms by hand in Xforms and we execute them in a web
application based on ORBEON 4.4.
We plan to migrate to ORBEON 2018 and we are exploring the possibility of
using the Form Builder to create our forms.
The idea is not to completely manage the form in the Builder, but to sketch
the fields, then complete it by hand in order to integrate it into our web
application with the existing pages.

The problem is that integrating the Form Runner into our application would
be quite expensive because we offer the user a personalized follow-up of
these forms, as well as a mini workflow.

Is it possible to make the model of the form with the builder, then enrich
the source code, and finally run the result page like any other page xforms?
(via our own page-flow.xml and .xpl files)

Thank You

julien

Hi Julien,

I'd recommend you check the source of the form definition managed by Form
Builder; you can do so from the Advanced tab, clicking on "Edit Source".
Maybe you can work with that source, after making some transformations.
You'll let me know if this works for you.
