Form Builder - migrate from demo site

Dan Oneufer
Using the online demo version of Forms Builder at
http://www.orbeon.com/orbeon/fr/orbeon/builder/summary , I was able to
prototype a form exactly as I wanted it.  I'd like to now take that form and
export it to a local version of Orbeon, running the same version as the 'demo'
environment.  I thought I'd just be able to use the 'Edit Source' feature, copy
the xml and paste it into a local form builder session, again using the Edit
Source feature.

Seems that the Edit Source feature in the demo site is not available.  Is there
another way to get to that that nicely-working form or will I need to recreate
it locally?

Thanks,
DanO...

Hi Dan,

I don't know if there is a documented way of doing this.

However, have you tried to locate the xml in the database?

You can use the eXist gui from the Launch button at

http://exist-db.org/

edit the connection string to point to your server.
Then you can create a backup of those xml files
and insert them into your own database.

There may be better ways, but in the end, you need
to move the xml files from the database, that is where
the forms are.

Dan,

We disabled Edit Source on the public site for security reasons. If
you tell us what the URL to your form is, we can retrieve it for you,
and send you the source by private email.
